Javon Small, Tucker DeVries lead West Virginia to 73-60 victory over Georgetown

Javon Small had 26 points, Tucker DeVries scored 13 of his 15 in the second half and West Virginia rallied to beat Georgetown 73-60 on Friday night in the Big 12-Big East Battle. Small made 9 of 16 shots with four 3-pointers and 4 of 5 free throws for the Mountaineers (6-2), who improved to 4-0 at home. DeVries made half of his 10 shots with three 3-pointers and added seven rebounds.

Williamson’s late 3, Marshall’s free throw lift Niagara past Siena 69-68 in Metro Atlantic opener

Jahari Williamson knocked down a 3-pointer with 38 seconds left to tie the game and Jaeden Marshall hit the first of two free throws with eight seconds remaining to lift Niagara to a 69-68 win over Siena in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener Friday night. Justice Smith had 17 points and added seven rebounds for the Purple Eagles (4-5, 1-0). Olumide Adelodun shot 6 for 12, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc to add 13 points.

Dinkins’ 18 lead Duquesne past Delaware 80-66

Tre Dinkins' 18 points helped Duquesne defeat Delaware 80-66 on Friday night. Dinkins had five rebounds for the Dukes (2-7). Kareem Rozier scored 14 points while going 3 of 11 from the floor, including 1 for 5 from 3-point range, and 7 for 9 from the line and added five assists.
