Dejour Reaves' 23 points and Adam Njie hit the game-winning jumper with three seconds left to lift Iona past Niagara 65-63 on Friday. Reaves shot 10 for 17, including 3 for 8 from beyond the arc for the Gaels (13-16, 10-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Njie scored 13 points while going 6 of 11 from the field and added eight assists.

Bez Mbeng scored 21 points and Yale beat Dartmouth 72-67 on Friday night to pick up its 13th straight win. Yale (19-6, 12-0 Ivy League) is riding the longest active winning streak in the nation at 13. Mbeng also added 12 rebounds and five assists for the Bulldogs.

The Cyclones have had unprecedented success in the major sports in 2024-25. The football team had its first 11-win season and the ninth-ranked men’s basketball team has been in the top 10 all season and achieved its highest ranking since 1956-57 when it reached No. 3 in December.

The NCAA has not finalized expansion plans for the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments and a decision is unlikely soon, NCAA senior vice president of basketball Dan Gavitt said in a CBS Sports interview. “It’s not taken in a lighthearted way at all because of the success of the tournaments and how important they are to college basketball overall,” Gavitt said.
