Every year, certain teams — even higher seeds — enter the NCAA tournament vulnerable. Here are five of those teams.

The first-year Hog guard has scored in double figures in five of his last six games, and exploded for a season-high 24 points in the Hogs' regular-season finale against Mississippi State on Saturday. Houston is the favorite after a dominant regular season, but there are plenty of contenders that could win the Big 12 tournament crown this season.

Seton Hall Pirates (7-24, 2-18 Big East) vs. Villanova Wildcats (18-13, 11-9 Big East) New York; Wednesday, 9 p.m. EDT BETMGM SPORTSBOOK LINE: Wildcats -10.5; over/under is 126.5 BOTTOM LINE: Villanova plays in the Big East Tournament against Seton Hall. The Wildcats have gone 11-9 against Big East opponents, with a 7-4 record in non-conference play.

The Utes are 8-12 against Big 12 opponents and 8-3 in non-conference play. Utah ranks third in the Big 12 with 25.2 defensive rebounds per game led by Keanu Dawes averaging 4.1. The Knights are 7-13 against Big 12 opponents.

The Minutemen are 7-11 against A-10 opponents and 5-8 in non-conference play. UMass leads the A-10 in rebounding, averaging 35.7 boards. Daniel Hankins-Sanford leads the Minutemen with 7.5 rebounds.

Rice ranks third in the AAC with 10.5 offensive rebounds per game led by Caden Powell averaging 3.1. The 49ers are 3-15 against AAC opponents. Charlotte is 3-11 in games decided by 10 or more points.

Arizona State Sun Devils (13-18, 4-16 Big 12) vs. Kansas State Wildcats (15-16, 9-11 Big 12) Kansas City, Missouri; Tuesday, 7 p.m. EDT BETMGM SPORTSBOOK LINE: Wildcats -5.5; over/under is 142.5 BOTTOM LINE: Kansas State plays in the Big 12 Tournament against Arizona State. The Wildcats have gone 9-11 against Big 12 opponents, with a 6-5 record in non-conference play.

Saint Mary's (CA) and Gonzaga meet in the WCC Championship. The Gaels' record in WCC games is 18-1, and their record is 10-3 against non-conference opponents. Saint Mary's (CA) averages 74.2 points while outscoring opponents by 13.4 points per game.

Florida State is ninth in the ACC scoring 74.9 points while shooting 45.5% from the field. The Orange's record in ACC play is 7-13. Syracuse ranks fourth in the ACC with 24.7 defensive rebounds per game led by Donnie Freeman averaging 6.9.

The Wildcats are 6-12 against A-10 opponents and 10-3 in non-conference play. Davidson is sixth in the A-10 with 23.5 defensive rebounds per game led by Bobby Durkin averaging 5.3. The Spiders are 5-13 in A-10 play.

The Pioneers' record in MAAC games is 10-10, and their record is 4-7 in non-conference play. Sacred Heart is the leader in the MAAC with 12.5 fast break points. The Stags are 8-12 in MAAC play.

The Fordham Rams are 3-15 against A-10 teams. Fordham is eighth in the A-10 scoring 31.7 points per game in the paint led by Jackie Johnson III averaging 6.3. Rhode Island averages 7.7 made 3-pointers per game, 1.2 more made shots than the 6.5 per game Fordham gives up.
