European football: Leganés stun Barça as Atlético Madrid make move

Barcelona lost 1-0 to Leganés, allowing Atlético Madrid to pull level with them at the top of La Liga. Sergio González’s fourth-minute header for Leganés proved enough to stun the wasteful hosts, who lost their second consecutive league game in front of their own fans. The defender rose unmarked at the near post to fire an unstoppable header past Iñaki Peña.

Despite dominating with over 80% possession, Barça were clueless as they sought to overcome a disciplined and well organised five-man defence, spurning a handful of opportunities.

Senior trio helps Miami snap 7-game slide with 94-75 victory over Presbyterian

Matt Cleveland had a career-high 24 points, Brandon Johnson scored 22, and Lynn Kidd totaled 20 points and 11 rebounds as the trio of seniors helped Miami snap a seven-game losing streak with a 94-75 victory over Presbyterian on Sunday. Cleveland buried 9 of 12 shots from the floor with two 3-pointers and 4 of 5 free throws for the Hurricanes (4-7), who improved to 4-3 at home. Johnson made 9 of 11 shots with two 3-pointers.

Northeastern defeats Old Dominion 75-71

Rashad King's 21 points helped Northeastern defeat Old Dominion 75-71 on Sunday. King added nine rebounds for the Huskies (8-3). LA Pratt added 15 points while going 7 of 14 from the field while they also had six rebounds.

Thomas scores 27 as Morgan State downs Campbell 86-76

Will Thomas had 27 points in Morgan State's 86-76 win over Campbell on Sunday. Thomas added seven rebounds for the Bears (6-8). Kameron Hobbs scored 21 points while going 8 of 12 from the floor, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and 3 for 4 from the line and added five assists.
