Chucky Hepburn scored 17 in the second half and 10 in overtime to finish with a career-high 32 points as Louisville beat West Virginia 79-70 on Thursday in the Battle 4 Atlantis semifinals. Louisville (5-1) plays the winner of the game between Oklahoma and No. 23 Arizona for the tournament championship on Friday. West Virginia (4-2) faces the loser in a third-place game.

The recently sacked FIA race steward Tim Mayer has delivered a stinging rebuke to Formula One’s governing body and the management of its president Mohammed ben Sulayem, with the FIA once again left reeling in the face of very public criticism.

Mayer, a race steward for 15 years, told the BBC in an interview he was sacked by text message on Tuesday and stated Ben Sulayem had involved himself in the decision-making process of the stewards, who are supposed to be independent.

WVU falls to Louisville in OT of the Battle 4 Atlantis Semifinals

West Virginia was looking for a different type of feast than most on Thursday afternoon. The Mountaineers faced Louisville in the semifinals of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament and for the second time in 24 hours, WVU played a game that featured overtime. West Virginia's holiday on the hardwood would not end how they imagined as they couldn't keep pace in overtime, falling 79-70.

‘I was shocked’: Iga Swiatek explains positive trimetazidine result – video

Iga Swiatek, the world No 2 women’s tennis player, has spoken out following the International Tennis Integrity Agency's announcement that she would receive a one-month ban after testing positive for the banned substance trimetazidine. In a video statement posted on Instagram Swiatek said: 'It was a blow for me, I was shocked and this whole situation made me very anxious,' as she explained that a batch of her melatonin, which she takes for jet lag and sleep issues, had been contaminated. The ITIA has accepted that Swiatek’s positive doping test had been caused by her contaminated medication.

Preview: Seattle at No. 11 Duke

Duke lost a neutral-court game because of some late-game errors against a blue blood that has more experience — and it showed. Duke’s first loss was Kentucky in Atlanta; the Blue Devils returned home and beat Wofford by 51 a few days later. Duke’s second loss was Kansas in Las Vegas earlier this week; the Blue Devils return home for a game against Seattle on Friday night, with its matchup against Auburn in the ACC-SEC Challenge on next week’s horizon.
