Bensley Joseph had 20 points and Bryce Hopkins scored 19 to rally Providence to a 70-63 victory over DePaul in overtime on Tuesday night in a Big East Conference opener. Joseph made two free throws and a layup and Hopkins followed with a layup and two free throws to complete an 8-0 run that gave the Friars a 68-61 lead with 20 seconds remaining. Joseph had seven assists and Hopkins added 10 rebounds for the Friars (7-4).

Arkansas trailed by as much as 15 points in the first half, led by as much as 18 in the second half and then led by just 1-point with less than a minute remaining in regulation. Freshman guard Boogie Fland, a native of Bronx, New York, led the Razorbacks with 20 points, seven assists, one rebound and two steals. Fland knocked down two of the Hogs' nine made 3-pointers, and they shot 50.0% from the field as a team in the game.

Dawn Fraser’s family has spoken of their fear of losing the Australian swimming great after she fell on the driveway of her home and sustained a broken hip and four broken ribs.
Fraser, 87, is convalescing in hospital after the “scary” incident last week that initially prompted fears she had suffered internal bleeding.
