Tamar Bates scored 16 points, Mark Mitchell added 14 and Missouri closes its nonconference schedule with an 82-65 win over Alabama State on Monday. Trent Pierce and Tony Perkins added 12 points apiece as 10 players played at least 10 minutes in the Tigers' last warmup before Southeastern Conference play begins on Saturday. D'Ante Bass scored 14 points for the Hornets (4-9) and Tyler Mack had 11.

McNeese wins 79-51 over SE Louisiana

Christian Shumate added 12 points while going 4 of 6 and 4 of 5 from the free-throw line while he also had 10 rebounds. Quadir Copeland had 11 points and went 5 of 9 from the field. The Lions (6-7, 0-2) were led by Sam Hines Jr., who recorded 11 points and six rebounds.

Sandfort scores 15, Iowa beats New Hampshire 112-70 in nonconference finale

Payton Sandfort had 15 points to lead six Iowa players in double figures and the Hawkeyes never trailed Monday night in their 112-70 win over New Hampshire, the final nonconference game of the season for both teams. Sandfort hit a jumper to open the scoring 57 seconds into the game and his layup about 4 1/2 minutes later gave Iowa (10-3) a 15-4 lead. The Wildcats twice trimmed their deficit to nine points before Cooper Koch hit a 3 that made it 23-11 with 11:18 left until halftime and pushed the lead into double figures for good.
