Thomas shot 9 for 12, including 4 for 7 from beyond the arc for the Wildcats (6-11, 3-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Daniel Rouzan added 13 points while shooting 5 of 10 from the field and 2 for 3 from the free-throw line while grabbing five rebounds.

Pope scores 28, Texas State downs Southern Miss 85-82 in OT

Tylan Pope had 28 points in Texas State's 85-82 overtime win over Southern Miss on Saturday night. Pope added 12 rebounds and five blocks for the Bobcats (11-8, 4-3 Sun Belt Conference). Kinziger shot 7 for 12 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 3 of 3 from the free-throw line for the Redbirds (11-8, 3-5 Missouri Valley Conference). Landon Wolf scored 17 points while going 4 of 8 from the floor, including 3 for 7 from 3-point range, and 6 for 7 from the line and added 11 rebounds.

Javon Small scores 27 and West Virginia beats No. 2 Iowa State 64-57

Javon Small scored 12 of his 27 points in the final two minutes to lead West Virginia to a 64-57 win over No. 2 Iowa State on Saturday night, ending the Cyclones' national-best 12-game winning streak. Amani Hansberry added 12 points for the Mountaineers (13-4, 4-2 Big 12), who beat a ranked team for the fourth time this season. West Virginia fans stormed the court and joined the players in singing John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” on a day in which the school celebrated the life of NBA great Jerry West, who died last June at age 86.

Tavarez scores 32 as Charleston beats Northeastern 87-85
