Brice Williams, Juwan Gary help Nebraska erase 20-point deficit in 68-64 victory over Northwestern

Brice Williams scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half when Juwan Gary scored 13 of his 17 and Nebraska rallied from a 20-point deficit to beat Northwestern 68-64 on Sunday. Ty Berry opened the second half with a 3-pointer and Nick Martinelli tipped in a miss to give Northwestern a 41-21 lead in the first 45 seconds. Gary followed a 3-pointer with a three-point play in an 11-0 run and Nebraska closed within 50-43 with 11:47 remaining.

RJ Luis Jr. and No. 9 St. John’s extend Big East lead with 79-73 win over No. 24 Creighton

RJ Luis Jr. had 23 points and 14 rebounds to help No. 9 St. John’s strengthen its grip on first place in the Big East with a 79-73 victory over No. 24 Creighton on Sunday. The Red Storm (22-4, 13-2) lead the Bluejays (18-8, 11-4) by two games. A Creighton win would have given it the head-to-head tiebreaker over St. John’s, which is seeking its first regular-season title since 1986.

The Portuguese winger sparked jubilation in the stadium after 74 minutes following some clever footwork in the box by Randal Kolo Muani before he found Conceição, who fired home.

Eaton scores 16 as Saint Peter’s knocks off Rider 66-65

Bryce Eaton scored 16 points, the final two at the free throw line with three seconds left to lift Saint Peter's past Rider 66-65 on Sunday. Ustby’s absence hangs over No. 12 Tar Heels’ win against No. 10 Wolfpack

North Carolina coach Courtney Banghart had no update on the health of top scorer and rebounder Alyssa Ustby after she exited early in the 12th-ranked Tar Heels' win against 10th-ranked rival N.C. State on Sunday. Ustby played just 2 1/2 minutes in the 66-65 win. Banghart said she wasn't sure exactly what happened to Ustby “and still don't" beyond team staffers telling her at halftime that Ustby was done for the day.

Duke Deen led Bradley with 12 points and Darius Hannah hit the winning dunk with 10 seconds left as the Braves knocked off Drake 61-59 on Sunday. Deen went 4 of 10 from the field (3 for 7 from 3-point range) for the Braves (21-6, 12-4 Missouri Valley Conference). Zek Montgomery scored 11 points while going 4 of 6 from the field.
