Masai Troutman's 22 points off of the bench helped Northeastern to a 70-66 victory against Stony Brook on Saturday night. Young, Johnson help Virginia Tech hold off Cal in 71-68 win

Reserve Jaydon Young scored 14 points, Tyler Johnson recorded a double-double and Virginia Tech withstood Cal’s rally and beat the Golden Bears 71-68 on Saturday. Johnson scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Brandon Rechsteiner and Mylyjael Poteat each scored 12 points for the Hokies (7-9, 2-3), who entered the game having lost three of their past four. Stojakovic's 3-point attempt to tie it with two seconds left rimmed out to end the game.

Fort’s 21 lead Samford past UNC Greensboro 76-69

Trey Fort had 21 points in Samford's 76-69 win over UNC Greensboro on Saturday night. Fort shot 7 for 13 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 5 of 7 from the free-throw line for the Bulldogs (14-3, 4-0 Southern Conference). Rylan Jones scored 16 points and added six assists.

Thomas leads Rhode Island to 67-64 OT victory against Richmond

Sebastian Thomas scored 23 points and hit the game-winning jump shot with 22 seconds remaining in the overtime as Rhode Island knocked off Richmond 67-64 on Saturday night. Thomas added seven rebounds and four steals for the Rams (13-3, 2-2 Atlantic 10 Conference). Jaden House scored 18 points while going 7 of 14 from the floor, including 1 for 5 from 3-point range, and 3 for 4 from the line.
