The England captain, Maro Itoje, has called for Six Nations organisers to keep the championship on free-to-air TV on the grounds that rugby union needs more exposure, amid fears the championship will disappear behind a paywall next season.

Itoje, who leads England for the first time in Saturday’s Six Nations clash with Ireland in Dublin, issued an impassioned plea, pointing to how he grew up watching the championship on the BBC and ITV.

Calipari ‘needs more’ from Razorbacks’ frontcourt

The Arkansas Razorbacks (12-8, 1-6 SEC) have had their share of struggles to start Southeastern Conference play, and one big part of that has been an inconsistent frontcourt. The four main players — Jonas Aidoo, Zvonimir Ivisic, Trevon Brazile and Adou Thiero — have all had solid individual performances throughout the season, but most of them haven't been able to show that consistently. The only one who has been consistent is Thiero, who is the team's leading scorer at 16.1 points per game and the leading rebounder at 6.2 per game.
