Trevor Smith shot 5 of 10 from the field, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 4 from the free-throw line, scoring 16.

Micah Thomas scored 25 points as Northwestern State beat East Texas A&M 75-67 on Saturday. Thomas shot 6 of 10 from the field, including 5 for 8 from 3-point range, and went 8 for 9 from the line for the Demons (8-8, 4-1 Southland Conference). Jon Sanders scored 12 points while going 3 of 7 from the floor, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and 4 for 4 from the line.

Payton Sparks scored 19 points as Ball State beat Bowling Green 91-69 on Saturday. Sparks added 13 rebounds for the Cardinals (8-7, 2-1 Mid-American Conference). Mickey Pearson Jr. scored 16 points and added six rebounds.

Noah Collier led William & Mary with 22 points and Keller Boothby hit the game-winning 3-pointer with one second remaining as the Tribe beat N.C. A&T 81-78 on Saturday. Collier also had six rebounds for the Tribe (10-7, 4-0 Coastal Athletic Association). Gabe Dorsey added 18 points and seven rebounds.

Cooper Flagg cut across the court to catch an early kickout feed and knocked down a 3-pointer from the wing. The 6-foot-9 Flagg scored 42 points to set a conference freshman single-game scoring record Saturday, helping fourth-ranked Duke beat Notre Dame 86-78., It was a performance that put the preseason Associated Press All-American alongside some prominent names in the history of the blueblood program and its longtime league home. “I was just out there playing,” Flagg said as he sat at his locker afterward surrounded by reporters.

Tahj Staveskie scored 21 points as Cleveland State beat Youngstown State 80-72 on Saturday. Staveskie shot 7 for 17 (4 for 10 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line for the Vikings (12-6, 6-1 Horizon League). Dylan Arnett added 15 points while shooting 6 of 8 from the field and 3 for 4 from the line while they also had 12 rebounds.

The UConn men's basketball team bounced back from a loss to Villanova earlier in the week with a 68-60 win at Georgetown.

PJ Haggerty scored eight of his 25 points in the final 2:34 and No. 19 Memphis held off East Carolina 74-70 on Saturday. Haggerty shot 7 for 16 from the field and was perfect on 10 free throws, including both ends of a 1-and-1 with 9.7 seconds left to preserve the victory. Tyrese Hunter added 14 points and Dain Dainja scored 10 as Memphis (13-3, 3-0 American Athletic Conference) won its fourth straight.

Alex Karaban scored 19 points, Solo Ball added 15, and No. 9 Connecticut bounced back Saturday from its first conference loss of the season to beat Georgetown 68-60. The Huskies (13-4, 5-1 Big East), who fell 68-66 at Villanova on Wednesday, have not lost back-to-back league games since January 2023. Curtis Williams Jr. had 15 points for the Hoyas (12-4, 3-2), who have dropped 20 consecutive games against ranked teams since winning the 2021 Big East tournament.

Chase Hunter scored 25 points, including five of Clemson's 13 3-pointers, and the Tigers defeated Florida State 77-57 on Saturday. The Tigers made all five of their shots in the first four minutes of the second half and their 13-2 run stretched a seven-point halftime lead to 18 points at 49-31. Jerry Deng made a layup and a 3-pointer and Malique Ewin hit two free throws to get FSU within 58-47 near the nine-minute mark but the Seminoles scored only two points in the next four minutes.

Johni Broome suffered a “significant sprain” of his left ankle in No. 2 Auburn's win over South Carolina on Saturday, and Tigers coach Bruce Pearl said his team's leading scorer will have an MRI to determine the extent of the injury. Broome, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound fifth-year senior and preseason Associated Press All-American who is considered a contender for national player of the year, landed on the foot of a South Carolina defender and rolled his left ankle while going for a rebound in the second half of Auburn's 66-63 Southeastern Conference win. “He’s got a significant sprain,” Pearl said.

Reed Bailey's 23 points helped Davidson defeat Fordham 74-64 on Saturday. Bailey also contributed six rebounds for the Wildcats (12-4, 2-1 Atlantic 10 Conference). Connor Kochera scored 20 points while going 8 of 14 from the floor, including 2 for 3 from 3-point range, and 2 for 3 from the line and added six rebounds.

A few possessions into Duke’s game against Notre Dame, Cooper Flagg noticed something on offense: The Irish were leaving him wide open in the corner. Over and over he did, and it’s exactly what Duke needed against a pesky opponent. Flagg poured in an ACC freshman record 42 points, including four key free throws in the final minute, four 3-pointers and another sensational dunk, to help the Blue Devils hold off the Irish 86-78 on Saturday afternoon at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
