WVU battles, but falls to Baylor on the road in OT on Saturday

West Virginia entered Saturday as losers of five of their last seven, mostly due to their inability to play a full 40 minutes and finish close games. Despite trailing for the majority of the game, the Mountaineers were able to send the game to overtime against Baylor on Saturday. West Virginia gave it their all but ultimately came up short in the extra period, falling to Baylor 74-71 as the Bears scored nine points, all coming at the free throw line, while WVU went 2-for-9 from the field, in the overtime session.

Milos Uzan scores 19 as No. 6 Houston grinds out 62-58 win over No. 13 Arizona

Milos Uzan scored 19 points, L.J. Cryer added 15 and No. 6 Houston took firm control of the Big 12 Conference race with a 62-58 win over No. 13 Arizona on Saturday. Coming off a 76-65 win at Baylor, the Cougars (21-4, 13-1 Big 12) trailed by seven midway through the second half, then held the Wildcats without a field goal for more than six minutes to go up seven. The Wildcats (17-8, 11-3) fought back to close within 59-58 with a minute left, but Houston hit 3 of 4 closing free throws to win for the 17th time in 18 games.

Tavarez scores 20 as Charleston takes down N.C. A&T 69-59

Deywilk Tavarez's 20 points off of the bench led Charleston to a 69-59 victory over N.C. A&T on Saturday. Calipari has heart-to-heart with Razorbacks after another close loss to top-10 opponent

Arkansas coach John Calipari sat down with his team after its loss to No. 8 Texas A&M Saturday for a “heart-to-heart.” The Hall of Fame coach wanted the Razorbacks to understand that they let a major opportunity slip away with the defeat. Calipari, who has taken six teams to the Final Four, knows that his Razorbacks will need a signature win to even reach the tournament in his first season at the school.
