Jase Richardson scored 21 points and Tre Holloman had 18, leading No. Michigan State to a 75-62 win over No. Michigan on Friday night to take sole possession of first place in the Big Ten.

Dejour Reaves' 18 points helped Iona defeat Manhattan 65-60 on Friday night. Reaves added 11 rebounds and three steals for the Gaels (12-15, 9-7 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Yaphet Moundi scored 12 points and added 14 rebounds.

Michigan basketball score: The Wolverines hit just one of nine 3-point tries in the second half as MSU surged back from a four-point deficit.

The Spartans (22-5, 13-3) have surged atop the highly competitive conference with their third straight win. The Wolverines (20-6, 12-3) fell out of first place with their first loss in seven games.

Josh Pascarelli's 31 points led Marist over Canisius 89-81 on Friday night. Pascarelli shot 11 of 16 from the field, including 6 for 9 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 5 from the line for the Red Foxes (19-5, 12-3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Elijah Lewis scored 15 points while going 5 of 11 from the floor, including 1 for 4 from 3-point range, and 4 for 6 from the line.

Nick Townsend scored 24 points as Yale beat Cornell 92-88 on Friday night. Townsend added 11 rebounds and five assists for the Bulldogs (17-6, 10-0 Ivy League). Casey Simmons scored 21 points while going 8 of 12 from the floor, including 3 for 4 from 3-point range, and 2 for 3 from the line and added eight rebounds.

Des Watson had 22 points in Loyola Chicago's 76-72 win against Dayton on Friday night. Watson had five rebounds for the Ramblers (18-9, 9-5 Atlantic 10 Conference). Miles Rubin scored 14 points and added four blocks.

Dan Gherezgher Jr.'s 17 points helped Northern Kentucky defeat Wright State 80-76 on Friday night. Gherezgher shot 6 for 13, including 3 for 5 from beyond the arc for the Norse (13-15, 8-9 Horizon League). Josh Dilling scored 16 points while going 5 of 8 from the floor, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and 4 for 6 from the line and added five rebounds.

Anquan Hill's 17 points helped Sacred Heart defeat Merrimack 60-59 on Friday night. Hill had 10 rebounds for the Pioneers (12-14, 8-7 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Tanner Thomas added 12 points while finishing 6 of 11 from the floor while they also had seven rebounds.

Rasheed Bello scored 19 points as Purdue Fort Wayne beat Oakland 80-66 on Friday night. Bello added eight assists for the Mastodons (19-10, 12-6 Horizon League). Jalen Jackson scored 14 points while shooting 4 for 13 (1 for 7 from 3-point range) and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line.

Terrell Ard Jr. had 18 points in Mount St. Mary's 69-58 win against Saint Peter's on Friday night. Ard added 13 rebounds for the Mountaineers (16-10, 9-6 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Dola Adebayo scored 14 points while finishing 7 of 11 from the floor and added nine rebounds.

Justice Shoats scored 31 points as Siena beat Niagara 94-60 on Friday night. Shoats added seven assists for the Saints (13-14, 8-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Tajae Jones scored 16 points while going 5 of 7 and 4 of 5 from the free-throw line and added seven rebounds.

Eric Dixon scored 23 points, Jhamir Brickus had 15 of his 21 points in Villanova’s dominating first half and the Wildcats beat No. 16 Marquette 81-66 on Friday night. Jordan Dumont added 15 points to help Villanova (16-12, 9-8 Big East) snap a two-game losing streak overall and eight-game skid against Marquette (20-7, 11-5).
