Dalen Davis, Malik Abdullahi lead Princeton past Northeastern 79-76

Dalen Davis scored 25 points and Malik Abdullahi secured the victory with a jumper with five seconds remaining as Princeton defeated Northeastern 79-76 on Sunday. Davis shot 9 of 18 from the field, including 4 for 10 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 3 from the line for the Tigers (3-0). Blake Peters scored 18 points while shooting 6 for 8 from beyond the arc.

Vanderbilt holds the line against hot-shooting Southeast Missouri State in 85-76 win

Jason Edwards scored 17 points and Vanderbilt converted 32 of 41 free throws to hold off a 3-point barrage from Southeast Missouri State and earn an 85-76 victory Sunday afternoon. The Redhawks knocked down 12 of 25 shots from beyond the arc after BJ Ward drained a 3-pointer on the game's first shot 18 seconds in. Devin McGlockton hit the first of two free throws with 1:12 left in the first half to put the Commodores up 40-33.

Spillers, Sallis help Wake Forest hold off Michigan in 1st Deacon-Wolverine Challenge, 72-70

Tre'von Spillers dunked off the fast break and Hunter Sallis converted three of four free throws in the final nine seconds to allow Wake Forest to hold off Michigan 72-70 at First Horizon Coliseum on Sunday afternoon. Wake Forest won the only other meeting in an ACC/Big Ten Challenge game Nov. 10, 2000. Spillers hit two free throws with 10 minutes left to tie the game at 57-57 and the Deacons took the lead a minute later and maintained it the rest of the way.

Tonje and Crowl each score 17 and slow-starting Wisconsin blows past Appalachian State 87-56

John Tonje and Steven Crowl scored 17 points each, Wisconsin took command with a huge first-half run, and the Badgers defeated Appalachian State 87-56 on Sunday to complete a busy first week of the season. The Badgers (3-0) defeated Holy Cross on Monday and Montana State on Thursday before taking on Appalachian State (1-2) which was also playing its third game in seven days. Wisconsin fell behind 17-8 in the first eight minutes of this one before ripping off a 24-0 run for a 32-17 lead with a little under three minutes remaining in the half.

San Francisco defeats Boise State 84-73

Malik Thomas had 22 points in San Francisco's 84-73 win against Boise State on Saturday. Thomas shot 8 of 13 from the field, including 0 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 6 for 7 from the free-throw line for the Dons (2-0). Marcus Williams added 20 points while shooting 6 for 12 (4 for 5 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line and added five rebounds and six assists.
