Kansas State transfer Arthur Kaluma and five-star freshman Tre Johnson scored 18 points apiece Saturday to help Texas beat Mississippi State 89-43. Texas (3-1) has won three in a row since an 80-72 loss to Ohio State at the Hall of Fame Series in the season opener. Julian Larry scored 13 points, Kadin Shedrick 12 and Jordan Pope 10 for the Longhorns.

Fousseyni Traore had a career-high 29 points off the bench, including a personal 16-8 run, Richie Saunders added his career high of 26 points and BYU defeated Idaho 95-71 on Saturday. Traore, who averaged 7.7 ppg in BYU's first three games, made 11 of 12 field goals and all seven of his free throws. He scored 20 points in the second half as BYU scored 54 points to turn a three-point halftime lead into a rout.

Myles Rice scored 17 of his 23 points in the first half and No. 16 Indiana defeated South Carolina 87-71 on Saturday.

Mikeal Brown-Jones scored 14 points for the Rebels (4-0), while Malik Dia and Dre Davis added 11 points apiece. Matthew Murrell, a three-year starter at shooting guard for the Rebels, hit a game-opening 3-point shot after missing the previous game with a back injury and scored 10 points. Jalen Lake and Nique Clifford led Colorado State (3-1) with 21 and 18 points, respectively.

Kobe Elvis scored 24 points, Jalon Moore added 21, and slow-starting Oklahoma defeated Stetson 85-64 on Saturday. Jordan Wood and Abramo Canka hit 3-pointers in an 8-0 run that got Stetson within 51-43 with 14 minutes left to play. A few minutes later, Oklahoma took control as Moore scored 11 points in a 16-0 run that gave Oklahoma a 70-46 lead 7 1/2 minutes to go.

Myles Rice scored 17 of his 23 points in the first half and No. 16 Indiana defeated South Carolina 87-71 on Saturday. Rice, a Washington State transfer, hit 7 of 10 shots including 3 of 4 from 3-point range and all six foul shots. The Hoosiers (3-0) were never seriously threatened in the second half, their smallest lead being eight points with 1:19 remaining.

Matt Allocco scored 17 points, Markus Burton added 16, and Notre Dame defeated Georgetown 84-63 on Saturday.

J.J. Starling scored a career-high 38 points, Eddie Lampkin and Donnie Freeman had double-doubles and Syracuse defeated Youngstown State 104-95 in double overtime on Saturday. Lampkin had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Orange (3-0) and Freeman delivered 19 points and 12 rebounds. Starling blew past his previous career-high of 26.

Matt Allocco scored 17 points, Markus Burton added 16, and Notre Dame defeated Georgetown 84-63 on Saturday. The Fighting Irish led 26-22 with five minutes left in the first half before Allocco and Nikita Konstantynovskyi scored the next eight points and Notre Dame finished on an 18-7 run. Allocco scored 15 points in the first half, including 4 of 5 3-pointers, and Notre Dame took a 44-29 lead at the break.

Guy Ragland Jr. had 16 points in Cornell's 81-71 victory over Lafayette on Saturday. Ragland also added 10 rebounds for the Big Red (3-1). Jake Fiegen shot 5 for 6, including 3 for 4 from beyond the arc to add 15 points.

Simeon Cottle's 27 points helped Kennesaw State defeat Presbyterian 85-67 on Saturday. Kennesaw State took the lead with 19:49 remaining in the first half and did not give it up. Cottle shot 5 of 7 from the field, including 5 for 6 from 3-point range, and went 12 for 12 from the line for the Owls (3-1).

Will Thomas had 18 points in Morgan State's 81-69 victory over NJIT on Saturday. Thomas shot 6 of 13 from the field and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line for the Bears (3-2). Daniel Akitoby scored 13 points and added nine rebounds.

Augustinas Kiudulas had 22 points in VMI's 80-69 win over Charleston Southern on Saturday. Kiudulas shot 9 of 15 from the field, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 2 for 4 from the line for the Keydets (4-1). Tan Yildizoglu scored 17 points and added five rebounds and six assists.
