Ryan Rapp scored 19 points to help the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors beat the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders 71-62 Saturday night. Rapp made 7 of 8 from the field and 5 of 5 from 3-point range for Hawaii (6-3). Marcus Green was 4-of-10 shooting from the field, made 6 of 6 from the free-throw line and finished with 15 points.

“I do think the rivalry is a little bit more important this year than in years past, because Louisville has had a lot of down years recently," Kentucky senior and Louisville native Daniel Peterson said as he stood in one of several lines for Rupp Arena's popular soft serve ice cream cones. "This year, I feel like it matters more.”

Jovan Milicevic scored 21 points off of the bench to help lead New Mexico over Division-II Western New Mexico 122-70 on Saturday. Milicevic added six rebounds and three steals for the Lobos (8-3, 1-0 Mountain West Conference). Braden Appelhans scored 18 points while shot 5 for 8 from beyond the arc and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line.

Xavier Dusell's 25 points helped Nevada defeat Texas Southern 105-73 on Saturday night. Dusell shot 8 for 12, including 7 for 11 from beyond the arc for the Wolf Pack (8-3). Nick Davidson scored 21 points while shooting 7 for 10 (3 for 6 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line and added five rebounds and seven assists.

Sadaidriene Hall scored 33 points and Josh Uduje added eight in the overtime as San Jose State knocked off Cal Poly 107-100 on Saturday night. Hall added 11 rebounds and three steals for the Spartans (6-6). Uduje scored 23 points while shooting 10 for 18 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 2 of 4 from the free-throw line and added 10 rebounds.

Tyson Degenhart scored 19 points and Andrew Meadow added three points in the overtime as Boise State defeated Saint Mary's (CA) 67-65 on Saturday. Degenhart shot 5 of 13 from the field, including 1 for 6 from 3-point range, and went 8 for 10 from the free-throw line for the Broncos (7-3). Alvaro Cardenas Torre shot 5 of 8 from the field and 3 for 3 from the foul line to add 14 points.

Sears, a senior guard who added six rebounds and four assists, hit a pair of 3-pointers in the final six minutes.

Will Johnston led Loyola Marymount with 23 points, including the game-winning layup with one second remaining, and the Lions took down Prairie View A&M 76-75 on Saturday night. Johnston shot 6 for 10 (4 for 7 from 3-point range) and 7 of 7 from the free-throw line for the Lions (5-4). Caleb Stone-Carrawell shot 6 of 12 from the field, including 1 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 5 from the foul line to add 17 points.

No. 18 UConn fended off a series of rallies by No. 8 Gonzaga to earn a 77-71 win in Madison Square Garden.
