The big men started great early, but the Wolverines lost another heartbreaker, this time to Oklahoma.

Grant Nelson had 23 points and 10 rebounds in his return to his home state and No. 6 Alabama overcame Treysen Eaglestaff's big night to hold off North Dakota 97-90 on Wednesday night. Mark Sears had 23 points and Labaron Philon added 16 for the Crimson Tide (9-2) Alabama rebounded from a sloppy start to shoot 59% and commit just one turnover in the second half. Alabama coach Nate Oats scheduled the game as a favor to Nelson, who grew up 90 minutes away in Devils Lake and is in his second season with the Crimson Tide after transferring from North Dakota State.

Caleb Love scored 18 of his 23 points in the first half when Arizona led by as many as 25 on its way to a 96-64 victory over Samford on Wednesday night. Anthony Dell'Orso and Trey Townsend scored 14 points each and Jaden Bradley and KJ Lewis 11 apiece. Arizona (5-5) shot 58%, sank 25 of 31 free throws and outscored the Bulldogs (9-3) by 25 off fast breaks.

Duke Deen had 19 points in Bradley's 66-64 win against San Francisco on Wednesday night. Deen had seven rebounds for the Braves (9-2). Zek Montgomery scored 12 points while going 4 of 9 (3 for 3 from 3-point range).

Corey Tripp scored 24 points as Wofford beat Saint Louis 74-71 on Wednesday night. Tripp added five assists for the Terriers (5-7). Kyler Filewich added 15 points while finishing 7 of 11 from the floor while he also had 11 rebounds.

Jamyron Keller and Bryce Thompson each scored 10 points for Oklahoma State. Keitenn Bristow scored 17 points and Marty Silvera 16 for Tarleton State. Silvera's jump shot with 30 seconds left brought the Texans within 64-61.

Dalton Banks had 17 points in Illinois State's 81-60 victory over Northern Illinois on Wednesday night. Banks added eight rebounds and three steals for the Redbirds (7-4, 0-1 Missouri Valley Conference). Chase Walker scored 15 points and added six rebounds.

Freshman Toby Fournier scored 16 of her 23 points points before halftime as No. 9 Duke beat Wofford.

Devin McGlockton and Jason Edwards scored 19 points each and Vanderbilt rolled over The Citadel 105-53 on Wednesday night. A.J. Hoggard had 13 points, Jaylen Carey 12, and Tyler Nickel 11 for the Commodores (10-1). Vanderbilt shot 56% overall, made 12 of 23 3-point tries and hit on 17 of 21 free throws.

UConn took advantage of Zach Freemantle’s absence by outscoring Xavier 50-28 in points in the paint.

AJ Clayton had 22 points in Ohio's 78-58 win over Austin Peay on Wednesday night. Clayton added six rebounds for the Bobcats (5-6). Jackson Paveletzke scored 18 points while shooting 5 for 6 (3 for 3 from 3-point range) and 5 of 8 from the free-throw line and added 11 assists and three steals.

Samage Teel's 26 points helped Indiana State defeat Murray State 84-74 on Wednesday night. Teel shot 10 of 13 from the field, including 4 for 7 from 3-point range, and went 2 for 3 from the line for the Sycamores (7-4, 2-0 Missouri Valley Conference). Jaden Daughtry scored 12 points and added seven rebounds.

Haggerty scored 21 of his 27 points in the second half and No. 21 Memphis shook off a slow start to beat Virginia 64-62.

ohan Nziemi scored 13 points off of the bench to lead Longwood over Campbell 77-55 on Wednesday night. Nziemi also had five rebounds for the Lancers (10-3). Michael Christmas scored 11 points while going 4 of 11 (3 for 8 from 3-point range).

Jayden Epps scored 21 points as Georgetown beat Creighton 81-57 to open Big East Conference play.
