Chicago State Cougars (2-20, 2-5 NEC) at Long Island Sharks (5-16, 2-6 NEC) New York; Saturday, 2 p.m. EST BOTTOM LINE: NEC foes LIU and Chicago State meet on Saturday. The Sharks have gone 5-6 in home games.

There were six lead changes in the final four minutes — the last coming when Kaufman-Renn made a 12-foot hook shot to give Purdue a 77-76 lead.

Javon Bennett scored 19 points as Dayton beat Saint Louis 71-63 on Friday night. Bennett shot 7 for 13, including 4 for 8 from beyond the arc for the Flyers (15-7, 5-4 Atlantic 10 Conference). Enoch Cheeks scored 14 points while shooting 5 for 10 (2 for 6 from 3-point range) and 2 of 3 from the free-throw line and added three steals.

Justice Smith scored at the basket with 49 seconds left to give Niagara a four-point lead and the Purple Eagles held on to earn a 64-63 win on Friday night. Paul McMillan IV hit a 3 to get the Golden Griffins within a point with :38 left but Niagara's Justin Page missed two free throws with :06 left and McMillan missed a layup at the buzzer. Jaeden Marshall score 18 points, shooting 6 of 10 from the field, including 1 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 5 for 6 from the line for the Purple Eagles (8-13, 3-7 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).

Nate Johnson had 20 points and Akron beat Kent State 85-71 on Friday night to pick up its ninth straight victory. Johnson added five rebounds for the Zips (16-5, 9-0 Mid-American Conference). Tavari Johnson scored 15 points while shooting 6 for 9, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc and added five assists.

Will Sydnor's 23 points helped Manhattan defeat Iona 76-55 on Friday night. Sydnor added six rebounds for the Jaspers (10-9, 5-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Masiah Gilyard added 15 points while going 7 of 10 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) while he also had seven rebounds.

TJ Weeks Jr. had 17 points in Rider's 67-64 victory over Saint Peter's on Friday night. Weeks shot 6 of 11 from the field, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 3 from the line for the Broncs (8-13, 4-6 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Zion Cruz scored 14 points while going 6 of 12 (0 for 3 from 3-point range).

Micah Peavy and Thomas Sorber each had 19 points in Georgetown's 73-70 victory against Butler on Friday night. Peavy added nine rebounds and three steals for the Hoyas (14-8, 5-6 Big East Conference). Sorber shot 8 of 14 from the field and 3 for 4 from the line while he also had five rebounds and three steals.

John Poulakidas scored 23 points as Yale beat Princeton 77-70 on Friday night. Poulakidas shot 8 of 14 from the field, including 3 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 5 from the line for the Bulldogs (12-6, 5-0 Ivy League). Nick Townsend scored 14 points and added five rebounds.

The settlement will protect student-athletes' name, image and likeness rights during recruiting.
