Duke freshman phenom Cooper Flagg got his first taste of a true college road atmosphere on Friday night, playing in front of a raucous announced crowd of 14,634 at Arizona's McKale Center. Flagg scored 16 points in the second half, finishing with a game-high 24 as No. 12 Duke pulled away for a 69-55 win over No. 17 Arizona. “In the first half, I was a little soft on my finishes,” Flagg said.

Justin Hill scored 17 points to lead Wichita State to an 88-63 victory over Saint Louis on Friday night at the Hall of Fame Classic. Hill shot 5 for 16 (1 for 6 from 3-point range) and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line for the Shockers (5-0). Corey Washington scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Blue Devils notch road win by locking down Arizona defensively and on the glass, along with 24 points from Cooper Flagg

Cooper Flagg scored 24 points, Kon Knueppel added 13 and the pair of freshmen led No. 12 Duke past No. 17 Arizona 69-55 on Friday night. Flagg drove the lane and threw down a one-handed jam in traffic to give the Blue Devils a 46-33 lead with 12:27 left. The preseason All-America pick shot 10 of 22 from the field and added six rebounds and three assists.

Kobe Johnson scored all 12 points in the first half to lead a balanced attack and UCLA cruised to an 80-47 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Friday night. Johnson made 4 of 8 shots from the floor and 4 of 6 from the free-throw line for the Bruins (5-1). Tyler Bilodeau and Eric Dailey Jr. both scored 12 for UCLA.

Jamir Simpson had 20 points in Southern Utah's 72-67 win against San Diego on Friday night. Simpson added five rebounds for the Thunderbirds (5-1). Dominique Ford had 17 points.

Reserve KeShawn Murphy scored 16 points and led a quartet of Mississippi State bench players in double-digit scoring and the Bulldogs beat SMU 84-79 on Friday night. Reserves RJ Melendez scored 15 points, Riley Kugel 13 and Claudell Harris Jr. 10. Josh Hubbard was the lone Mississippi State (5-0) starter in double figures with 14 points on just 4-for-18 shooting.

Tre Johnson scored 17 points to help Texas hold off Saint Joseph's 67-58 in the championship game of the UKG Legends Classic at the Barclays Center on Friday night. Johnson made 7 of 18 shots from the floor — 1 of 5 from beyond the 3-point line — and both his free throws for the Longhorns (5-1). Arthur Kaluma finished with 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots for Texas.

Jensen scored 11 of her 31 points in the fourth quarter, which Creighton led by nine.

Preseason All-American Ryan Kalkbrenner scored just four points — all on free-throws.
