Vincent Brady II's 21 points helped Missouri State defeat Missouri Southern State 90-61 on Monday night. Brady had six rebounds and three steals for the Bears (1-1). Dez White shot 6 of 12 from the field, including 1 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 3 from the foul line to add 16 points.

Dezayne Mingo scored 19 points as Marshall beat Southern Indiana 77-63 on Monday night. Mingo added three steals for the Thundering Herd (2-1). Nate Martin added 18 points while shooting 5 for 7 (2 for 4 from 3-point range) and 6 of 10 from the free-throw line while he also had five rebounds.

Curtis Jones came off the bench to score 20 points and Milan Momcilovic added 16 to lead No. 7 Iowa State in an 82-56 rout over Kansas City on Monday night. Jones, who played a key role as Iowa State's sixth man last season, has scored 20 or more points three times in his 32 games with the Cyclones. Charlotte transfer Dishon Jackson added 13 points and six rebounds in his second game for Iowa State (2-0).

Braden Smith finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists Monday night and Trey Kaufman-Renn added 17 points to lead No. Purdue past Yale 92-84. The Boilermakers (3-0) extended their home winning streak to 21, tying the third-longest in Mackey Arena history.

Isaac McKneely hit three straight 3-pointers in the closing minutes of the first half to push Virginia to a double-digit halftime lead and the Cavaliers cruised to a 62-45 win over Coppin State on Monday night. Virginia is now 2-0 to start the season under interim head coach Ron Sanchez, who was promoted less than a month ago after former coach Tony Bennett's surprise retirement. McKneely, one of just two returning starters with Andrew Rohde, scored 12 of his 14 points in the first half, all coming from beyond the 3-point arc.

Ishmael Leggett scored 21 points to lead five in double figures and Pitt eased past Gardner-Webb 83-64 on Monday night. Leggett had a near-perfect game, making 7 of 9 field goals, 3 of 4 3-pointers and all four of his free throws. He also had six rebounds and four assists.

Jaden Schutt scored 17 points on 5-for-10 shooting and Virginia Tech fought off a valiant effort by Winthrop for a 58-52 win over the Eagles on Monday night. The win marked Virginia Tech's 800th win in program history. Kelton Talford made two free throws with 7:47 remaining to pull Winthrop (2-1) into a tie at 42-all.

Darius Maddox scored 20 points as George Mason beat Stony Brook 94-56 on Monday night. Maddox shot 5 for 8 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 8 of 9 from the free-throw line for the Patriots (2-1). Giovanni Emejuru scored 17 points and added eight rebounds.

Tae Davis scored a career-high 27 points, Markus Burton added 19 points in a near triple-double and Notre Dame defeated Buffalo 86-77 on Monday night. The Fighting Irish trailed by two at halftime but opened the second half with a 24-2 run, including 20 points in a row, and did not trail again. Braeden Shrewsberry scored 11 points in the run and Notre Dame led 62-42 with 13 1/2 minutes remaining.

Dylan Harper scored 24 points and hit a go-ahead layup with 3:49 to play to lead No. 24 Rutgers to a much-harder-than expected 75-65 victory over New Jersey foe Saint Peter's on Monday night. The Scarlet Knights (2-0) had to overcame a five-point halftime deficit and twice had to rally in the final minutes after the Peacocks (0-3) wiped out a nine-point deficit and took one-point leads, the last at 65-64 on a layup by Tyreck Morris with 4:07 to go. Harper hit a layup less than 20 seconds later and it keyed a game-ending 11-0 run for Rutgers, which did not allow a point after Morris' basket.

Grant Nelson scored 22 points and had seven rebounds to lead No. 2 Alabama over McNeese State 72-64 on Monday night. Latrell Wrightsell Jr. went 5 for 9 from 3-point range, scoring 15 points for the Crimson Tide (3-0), and Mark Sears added 15 points, three rebounds and five assists. Javohn Garcia, who has averaged 18 points per game this season, was limited to 11 minutes due to foul trouble, scoring only four points.

Caleb Grill matched a career best with eight 3-pointers and scored a career-high 33 points to lead Missouri to an 84-77 victory over Eastern Washington on Monday night. Grill, who missed Missouri's final 23 games last season with a wrist injury, shot 10 of 13 from the floor and 8 of 10 from long range. Eastern Washington used a 19-8 run to pull to 70-68 with 5:15 remaining.

Julian Reese led a balanced attack and scored 21 points on 8-for-12 shooting and Maryland throttled Florida A&M 84-53 on Monday night. Selton Miguel scored 14 points, Ja'Kobi Gillespie 12, Derik Queen 11 and reserve Rodney Rice 10 for the Terrapins who had 11 players score. Miguel converted a three-point play and made a 3-pointer within the first three minutes and Maryland (3-0) scored the game's first 15 points before the Rattlers (0-3).

Rueben Chinyelu tied his career-high with 14 points, Walter Clayton Jr. and Will Richard added 12 apiece, and No. 20 Florida beat Grambling State 86-62 on Monday in coach Todd Golden's first game since he acknowledged an ongoing school inquiry into sexual harassment and stalking allegations. Golden said previously he is considering “defamation claims." Golden, 39, got a rousing ovation during pregame introductions.
