Josh Uduje's 23 points helped San Jose State defeat UTEP 71-65 on Monday night at the Ball Dawgs Classic. Uduje shot 9 for 18 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 4 of 5 from the free-throw line for the Spartans (2-5). Will McClendon scored 22 points while shooting 7 for 11 (5 for 8 from 3-point range) and 3 of 5 from the free-throw line.

Myles Rigsby scored 17 points as Troy beat UTSA 86-72 on Monday night. Rigsby added three steals for the Trojans (4-2). Tayton Conerway added 15 points while shooting 7 for 15, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc while they also had six rebounds and five steals.

Collin Murray-Boyles led South Carolina (3-3) with 13 points while Jamarii Thomas added 11 and Jacobi Wright 10. The Musketeers jumped out to a 7-0 lead but South Carolina responded with the next 17 points as Xavier went scoreless for 6:35. The Gamecocks led 34-29 at halftime.

The Tigers rallied from an 18-point deficit to stun the Cyclones in the first round of the Maui Invitational on Monday.

Freshman Kasparas Jakucionis hit three 3-pointers and scored 21 points — both season highs — and Tomislav Ivisic had his third double-double of the season to help Illinois beat Little Rock 92-34 Monday night. The 7-foot-1 Ivisic scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds with two steals. Louisville transfer Tre White also scored 16 points and Will Riley added 13 for Illinois (5-1).

The Razorbacks came, saw and conquered in epic fashion against Maryland-Eastern Shore on Monday night.

Latrell Jossell scored 15 points and Atin Wright hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 9 seconds remaining to send North Texas to a 58-55 victory over Oregon State 58-55 on Monday night. Jossell shot 5 for 9 from the floor with three 3-pointers for the Mean Green (5-1). Johnathan Massie and Brenen Lorient scored 14 apiece.

Dawson Garcia posted a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds and went 5 of 6 at the free-throw line in the final minute to help Minnesota fend off Central Michigan for a 68-65 win on Monday night. Garcia hit a 3 with 3:17 left to put the Golden Gophers up by four, 59-55, but Jakobi Heady answered from deep to get the Chippewas within a point with three minutes left. Lu'Cye Patterson's 3 put Minnesota up by four but Heady halved it with a layup.

Jalin Billingsley had 13 points on 6-for-7 shooting. Elijah Brooks led the way for the Huskies (2-4) with 17 points and two steals. D'Aundre Samuels had 15 points and Bryson Dawkins added 12 points and two steals.

USA Basketball is on the brink of qualifying for next year's AmeriCup tournament. Javonte Smart scored 21 points, Jahmi'us Ramsey scored 19 and the U.S. never trailed in a 97-74 win over the Bahamas in an AmeriCup qualifying game Monday night. The U.S. improved to 3-1 in qualifying, and one more win in either of their two remaining qualifying games — not until February — will clinch a spot in AmeriCup, which is the championship of the FIBA Americas region.

Byron Ireland scored 15 points to lead Nicholls to a 79-35 victory over Mississippi College on Monday night. Ireland also added five rebounds for the Colonels (3-4). Michael Gray Jr. scored 14 points, going 3 of 5 from the floor, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and 6 for 8 from the line.

Elijah Strong knocked down a 3-pointer with 4 seconds left in overtime to lift Boston College to a 76-74 win over Missouri State on Monday night to advance to the championship game of the Cayman Islands Classic. The Eagles will face Boise State, which held off South Dakota State 83-82, in Tuesday's title game. Dez White hit a pair of free throws and knocked down a jumper and Michael Osei-Bonsu added a jumper as the Bears took a 70-64 lead to open overtime.

Scooter Williams Jr. made a layup to give East Texas A&M a two-point lead with 13 seconds to play and the fouled Todd Bogna, who made two free throws to make it 65-all with 2.2 seconds remaining. Stinson stole the ball, was fouled and hit the go-ahead free throws.

Al Green scored 19 points and Sean Newman Jr. added seven in the overtime as Louisiana Tech knocked off Southern Illinois 85-79 in a first-round contest at the Gulf Coast Showcase on Monday night. Green had three steals for the Bulldogs (5-0). Kaden Cooper scored 18 points and added 12 rebounds and four steals.

Ian Schieffelin scored 12 of his 18 points in Clemson's dominant second half and added 13 rebounds as the Tigers rallied to beat San Francisco 70-55 in a Sunshine Slam Beach Division semifinal on Monday night. Clemson (5-1) will play Penn State in the championship game on Tuesday. The Nittany Lions beat Fordham in an earlier semifinal to advance.
