Pitt drops first game of the season in 81-75 defeat to No. 19 Wisconsin

The story: Pitt led Wisconsin by seven points at halftime in the championship game from The Greenbrier Tip-Off, but a strong second half propelled the Badgers to a 81-75 victory to hand the Panthers their first loss of the season. Pitt looked sharp early in this game on both sides of the ball, but Wisconsin started to find some life in the early stages of the first half, and rode that momentum throughout the game. The Panthers faced significant foul trouble for much of the game, and also lost second leading scorer Damian Dunn less than three minutes into the game.

Lipscomb wins 77-53 over Jackson State at BBN Invitational

Jordan Sears scored 25 points, Jalen Reed had 21 points and 13 rebounds, and LSU defeated UCF 109-102 in triple overtime on Sunday to take third place at the Greenbrier Tip-Off. LSU trailed by 18 points early in the second half, then failed to hold a lead at the end of regulation and each of the first two overtime periods. The Tigers went up by five with a minute to go in the third overtime.

Andrej Stojakovic converted 11 of 15 from the free throw line and scored 20 points as California held off a late rally to post an 83-77 win over Sacramento State in the Cal Classic tournament on Sunday. Cal came into its tournament without three starters, Jovan Blacksher Jr., DJ Campbell and BJ Omot and the Golden Bears earned back-to-back wins over Air Force and the Hornets. Stojakovic scored a career-high 21 points and freshman guard Jeremiah Wilkinson stepped up with career-best 23 points against the Falcons.

Kobe Sanders scored 27 points, including five of six from the free throw line in the closing minutes, and Nevada pulled away late to beat Oklahoma State 90-78 for a fifth-place finish at the Charleston Classic on Sunday. Nevada's lone loss in its first six games came in the tournament's opening round when the Wolf Pack fell to Vanderbilt 73-71. The Cowboys never led in the contest and Nevada grabbed the lead for good on Justin McBride's tip-in with under 13 minutes left to take a 14-12 lead.
