Southeast Missouri State Redhawks (3-4) at Lipscomb Bisons (5-4) Nashville, Tennessee; Thursday, 12 p.m. EST BETMGM SPORTSBOOK LINE: Bisons -15; over/under is 148.5 BOTTOM LINE: Southeast Missouri State visits Lipscomb after Tedrick Washington Jr. scored 28 points in Southeast Missouri State's 80-59 victory over the UMKC Kangaroos. The Bisons have gone 2-1 at home.

Michigan State led most of the way in a 90-72 victory over Minnesota on Wednesday night in a Big Ten Conference opener.

Shelstad made 12 of 14 free throws and reserve Keeshawn Barthelemey added 18 points on 4-for-5 shooting from 3-point range. Oregon's leading scorers, Nate Bittle and TJ Bamba, each had just five points. Bittle entered averaging 14.6 per game, and Bamba was averaging 13.

John Christofilis scored 22 points as Seattle beat Portland State 91-74 on Wednesday. Christofilis shot 7 for 13 (4 for 6 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line for the Redhawks (3-5). Paris Dawson shot 6 for 7 (4 for 5 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line to add 19 points.

Gwath, a 7-foot 0 freshman forward, shot 10 of 13 from the floor, made three of the Bulldogs' seven 3-pointers and blocked two shots. BJ Davis scored 13 points and Wayne McKinney III added 12. Mykell Robinson had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Fresno State.

Freshman Tre Johnson scored 18 points shooting 4 for 6 from 3-point range and Texas beat North Carolina State 63-59 in an SEC/ACC Challenge contest on Wednesday night. Johnson finished 7-of-15 shooting overall. Jordan Pope scored 13 points, Tramon Mark 10 and Arthur Kaluma grabbed 15 rebounds; one shy of tying a career high for the Longhorns (7-1).

USC men's basketball comes close to pulling off what would have been the biggest win of the budding Eric Musselman era before losing 68-60 to Oregon.

Ian Martinez scored 17 of his 23 points in the second half to help Utah State defeat Wyoming 70-67 on Wednesday night. Mason Falslev's layup with 35 seconds left stretched Utah State's lead to 70-64. Kobe Newton's 3-pointer for Wyoming capped the scoring with eight seconds to go.

Creighton has played eight No. 1 teams in its basketball history, and the first six of those games weren't close. Creighton took down top-ranked Kansas 76-63 on Wednesday night in a game the unranked Bluejays never trailed and led by 17 points. Ten months ago, they knocked off a No. 1 Connecticut 85-66. That was UConn's last loss before winning 13 in a row the way to its second straight national championship.

Donovan Dent had 20 points in New Mexico's 83-77 win over San Jose State on Wednesday night. Dent added five assists for the Lobos (7-2, 1-0 Mountain West Conference). Mustapha Amzil scored 19 points while shooting 6 for 12 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) and 6 of 9 from the free-throw line and added nine rebounds.

With Cooper Flagg leading the way, No. 9 Duke handed the No. 2 Auburn Tigers their first loss of the season.

Isaiah Walker scored 24 points, Carter Whitt made a jumper at the buzzer in overtime and Belmont beat Illinois State 99-97 on Wednesday night. Belmont's Jonathan Pierre hit a jumper to tie it 97-all with 21 seconds left. Whitt forced a turnover on the next possession and then hit a fade-away jumper in the lane to seal it.
