Dionte Bostick's 13 points off of the bench helped lead New Mexico State to an 83-82 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday. New Mexico State led throughout and saw a 21-point second-half lead reduced to one but held on for the win. Bostick shot 4 for 7 and 5 of 7 from the free-throw line for the Aggies (3-0).

Freshman reserve Joson Sanon hit five 3-pointers and scored a career-high 21 points, Basheer Jihad added 18 points and Arizona State defeated Grand Canyon 87-76 on Thursday night. The game was played at the Phoenix Suns' Footprint Center as part of the Hall of Fame series of high-profile matchups at neutral sites. Sanon had 13 points in the first half, helping the Sun Devils (3-1) take a 41-40 lead.

Cam Carter scored 20 points against his former team, freshman Vyctorius Miller added 15 points and LSU beat Kansas State 76-65 on Thursday night. Carter, who spent his sophomore and junior seasons with Kansas State, was 6 of 11 from the field, including three made 3-pointers. Dug McDaniel drove the baseline for an open layup and made a steal at the other end, leading to his fast-break layup to cut Kansas State’s deficit to 56-46 with 9:14 remaining.

Abou Ousmane and Brandon Newman both scored 18 points, combining to shoot 15 for 19, and Oklahoma State held off Southern Illinois 85-78 on Thursday night in the Cowboys' 3,000th men's basketball game. Davonte Davis gave Oklahoma State an 80-62 lead with 4:23 but the Cowboys did not make another field goal the rest of the way as Southern Illinois got as close as four points with 24 seconds left. Arturo Dean made two free throws with 19 seconds left for a six-point lead and Southern Illinois turned it over for the 18th time at the other end.

Corey Washington had 19 points in Wichita State's 79-73 victory over Northern Iowa on Thursday night. Washington added six rebounds for the Shockers (3-0). Justin Hill scored 11 points and added three steals.

Byron Ireland had 15 points, including the game winner with less than a second to play, in Nicholls State's 61-59 victory over Northern Kentucky on Thursday night. Ike Cornish rebounded a Norse miss with about 8.5 seconds to go and fed the ball to Ireland in the backcourt. Ireland shot 5 of 18 from the field, including 1 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 6 from the line for the Colonels (2-2).

Bryce Johnson had 18 points in UMBC's 92-67 win against Coppin State on Thursday night. Johnson shot 5 for 11 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 5 of 11 from the free-throw line for the Retrievers (3-1). Marcus Banks added 16 points while going 6 of 10 (4 for 5 from 3-point range) and also had three steals.

Marques Warrick scored 11 of his 16 points in the first half when Missouri took off to a huge lead on its way to a 111-39 win over Mississippi Valley State on Thursday night — the 72-point margin matching the largest in Tigers history. It was Missouri's largest margin of victory since defeating Chicago State 117-45 in 1995. The Tigers also beat MacMurray 106-34 in 1976.

Audi Crooks had 26 points and eight rebounds, Sydney Harris added 13 and No. 8 Iowa State beat St. Thomas of Minnesota 80-47 on Thursday night. Crooks made 12 of 17 shots from the field and left the game two minutes into the fourth quarter after her layup gave the Cyclones a 27-point lead. Harris has come off the bench to score in double figures in three straight games for the Cyclones (4-0).

Wood was 8-of-11 shooting and led the Blue Devils with nine points in the first half when they took a 37-23 lead. Reigan Richardson added 12, Oluchi Okananwa 11 and Ashlon Jackson and Vanessa de Jesus 10 each for Duke (3-1), which shot 50%. The Blue Devils made only 9 of 19 free throws and had 16 turnovers but they turned 24 Flyers turnovers in 32 points and dominated paint points 48-12.

Ayoka Lee scored 28 points in just 16 minutes due to foul trouble, and No. 10 Kansas State rolled to an 86-68 victory over Creighton on Thursday night. Temira Poindexter and Serena Sundell added 12 points apiece, and Kennedy Taylor scored 10 off the bench for the Wildcats (3-0). Kennedy Townsend had a career-high 16 points, and Morgan Maly finished with 15 for the Bluejays (1-2).
