Christian Coleman and Yaxel Lendeborg each scored 21 points in UAB's 98-84 victory against Southern Miss on Thursday night. Coleman had nine rebounds and five assists for the Blazers (1-1). Yaxel Lendeborg added five rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

Alex Condon scored a career-high 23 points, Alijah Martin added 15 and No. 21 Florida beat Jacksonville 81-60 in its home opener Thursday night. Will Richard chipped in 11 points, five rebounds and three steals for the Gators (2-0), who hit 21 of their first 30 shots and built a 20-point lead early in the second half. Florida cooled off down the stretch but were still too much for the Dolphins (1-1) on both ends of the floor.

Josh Harris' 23 points helped North Florida defeat Charleston Southern 90-66 on Thursday night. Harris also contributed eight rebounds for the Ospreys (2-0). Jasai Miles added 21 points while shooting 8 for 13 (3 for 6 from 3-point range) and 2 of 6 from the free-throw line while they also had seven rebounds.

Audi Crooks scored 16 points, Addy Brown had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and No. Iowa State beat Indiana State 64-42 on Thursday night. Crooks scored in double figures for the 34th straight game and had eight rebounds.

Brandon Muntu helped lead Western Michigan past Davenport on Thursday night with 17 points off of the bench in an 86-46 victory. Muntu went 5 of 10 from the field (5 for 8 from 3-point range) for the Broncos (1-1). Max Burton scored 13 points while finishing 6 of 7 from the floor and added seven rebounds.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Tre’Von Spillers had 15 points and 16 rebounds and Wake Forest shook off North Carolina A&T 80-64 on Thursday night. Spillers, an Appalachian State transfer, collected his points on 7-of-14 shooting and his 16 boards tied a career high. Hunter Sallis added 14 points, Efton Reid had 12 points, Cameron Hildreth scored 11 and Parker Friedrichsen 10.

Adalia McKenzie and Makira Cook each scored 20 points and Kendall Bostic scored 14 of her 18 points in the first half Thursday night to help Illinois beat No. 19 Florida State 83-74. Florida State made just 3 of 16 from the field and committed six turnovers to open the game as Illinois jumped to a 16-6 lead. Bostic was 6-of-6 shooting before the break as Illinois led by as many as 17 points before taking a 43-34 lead into halftime.

UConn had runs of 11-0 and 15-0 before the Terriers made their second basket of the game.

Freshman center Clara Silva scored 18 points, Clara Strack had 15 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists and No. 22 Kentucky beat Northern Kentucky 70-41 on Thursday night. Strack started a 10-3 run to close the first half that gave Kentucky a double-digit lead it would not relinquish. Silva, from Portugal, was coming off a 6-for-6 performance on Monday to become the first Kentucky player to be perfect from the field – with at least five field goals – since Makayla Epps in 2014.

The Golden Gophers welcome the Mavericks to Minneapolis for a non-conference clash on Peacock this Saturday.

Matija Zuzic had 21 points in UT Martin's 114-61 win against Kentucky Christian on Thursday. Zuzic shot 6 of 12 from the field, including 3 for 8 from 3-point range, and went 6 for 6 from the line for the Skyhawks (2-0). Josue Grullon scored 19 points while going 7 of 13 (5 for 10 from 3-point range) and added five rebounds.
