Freshman center Clara Silva scored 18 points, Clara Strack had 15 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists and No. 22 Kentucky beat Northern Kentucky 70-41 on Thursday night. Strack started a 10-3 run to close the first half that gave Kentucky a double-digit lead it would not relinquish. Silva, from Portugal, was coming off a 6-for-6 performance on Monday to become the first Kentucky player to be perfect from the field – with at least five field goals – since Makayla Epps in 2014.

Zuzic’s 21 lead UT Martin past Kentucky Christian 114-61

Matija Zuzic had 21 points in UT Martin's 114-61 win against Kentucky Christian on Thursday. Zuzic shot 6 of 12 from the field, including 3 for 8 from 3-point range, and went 6 for 6 from the line for the Skyhawks (2-0). Josue Grullon scored 19 points while going 7 of 13 (5 for 10 from 3-point range) and added five rebounds.

Mackinnon scores 20, Portland takes down Lewis & Clark 83-70

Max Mackinnon scored 20 points as Portland beat Lewis & Clark 83-70 on Wednesday night to begin the season. Mackinnon also contributed six rebounds and five assists for the Pilots. Austin Rapp added 15 points while shooting 6 for 9, including 3 for 5 from beyond the arc while he also had nine rebounds.

Eastern Illinois beats Earlham 97-61

Artese Stapleton scored 17 points as Eastern Illinois beat Earlham 97-61 on Wednesday night. Stapleton added eight assists for the Panthers (1-1). Kooper Jacobi added 16 points while going 5 of 12 from the floor, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and 4 for 4 from the line while he also had 11 rebounds and three steals.
