Javonte Brown scored 21 and Sebastian Thomas sealed the victory with a 3-pointer with 21 seconds left as Rhode Island knocked off Temple 85-79 on Saturday night at the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. Brown added 10 rebounds for the Rams (11-1). Thomas scored 20 points while going 4 of 7 from the floor, including 3 for 6 from 3-point range, and 9 for 9 from the line and added 10 assists.

Xavier Bell scores 24 to rally Wichita State to 84-65 victory over Kansas State

Xavier Bell scored a season-high 24 points and Wichita State pulled away in the second half to beat Kansas State 84-65 on Saturday night. Bell made 9 of 17 shots from the floor including his only 3-point attempt and 3 of 4 free throws for the Shockers (9-3), who snapped a five-game losing streak to the Wildcats (6-5). Corey Washington and Quincy Ballard both posted their second double-double of the season for Wichita State.

Drake beats Green Bay 72-62

Isaiah Jackson scored 21 points as Drake beat Green Bay 72-62 on Saturday night. Jackson also contributed 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs (11-0, 1-0 Missouri Valley Conference). Tavion Banks shot 8 of 12 from the field and 3 of 5 from the free-throw line to add 19 points.

Sandfort leads Iowa with 24 points in 95-88 win over Utah

Payton Sandfort scored 24 points, Owen Freeman scored 16 points and Iowa beat Utah 95-88 on Saturday. Josh Dix scored 15 points shooting 7 of 10, Drew Thelwell 15 and Brock Harding 12 for Iowa (9-3) which has won two straight games after dropping back-to-back games. Iowa (9-3) finished shooting 53.1% (34 of 64).

Colorado State edges Nevada 66-64 in Mountain West opener

Nique Clifford had 16 points and his free throws with four seconds left sealed Colorado State's 66-64 win over Nevada in the Mountain West Conference opener on Saturday night. Clifford also had 12 rebounds for the Rams (7-5). Kyan Evans shot 5 of 8 from the field, including 3 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 3 from the line to add 16 points.

Jihad leads Arizona State to 78-62 win over UMass

Basheer Jihad scored 20 points and Jayden Quaintance scored 19 points and Arizona State took control in the second half to beat UMass 78-62 on Saturday. Alston Mason scored 13 points and BJ Freeman contributed 11 for Arizona State (9-2) which won for the seventh time in its last eight games. Rahsool Diggins scored 24 points for the Minutemen who saw their two-game win streak end.

Love scores 24 points as Arizona rolls to a 94-41 win over Central Michigan

Caleb Love matched his season-high with 24 points to help power Arizona to a 94-41 rout of Central Michigan on Saturday. The Wildcats (6-5) won back-to-back games for the first time since beating Canisius and Old Dominion to open the season. The Chippewas (5-6) scored the game's first three points but Love knocked down three 3-pointers and scored 18 first-half points to put Arizona firmly in charge at intermission, 44-23.
