Khamari McGriff had 18 points and Noah Ross had 10 with nine boards for UNC Wilmington (4-1), which was picked to finish third in the Colonial Athletic Association after winning 21 games last season.

Keyshawn Hall scored 20 points, Jordan Ivy-Curry added 15 and UCF blew most of a 20-point lead Tuesday night before the Knights pulled away to beat Tennessee Tech 80-69. The Gophers (4-1), playing their fifth game in 13 days to open the season, were locked in another tight battle, holding a 50-47 lead with less than four minutes to go. Dawson Garcia and Brennan Rigsby both had 13 points for the Golden Gophers and Isaac Asuma had 13.

Newell, Demary lead Georgia to 93-45 win over Alabama A&M

Asa Newell scored 17 points, Silas Demary Jr. had 15 and Georgia remained unbeaten with a 93-45 win over Alabama A&M on Tuesday night. Newell, a freshman forward who came in averaging 16.8 points per game to lead the Bulldogs, was 7 of 8 from the floor while Demary made 9 of 11 free throws. Georgia (5-0) extended its home win streak versus nonconference opponents to 22.
