Creighton announced a $300 million facilities project Thursday that will encompass 11 new or upgraded buildings and outdoor spaces covering 12 blocks on the east side of campus. The donor-funded Fly Together initiative received a $100 million lead gift from the Heider Family Foundation, the largest in university history. “Fly Together will enhance the student-athlete experience greatly," athletic director Marcus Blossom said at a presentation on campus.

The six institutions involved are not at risk of being penalized, and none of the 13 players under investigation remain enrolled at their former schools.

Donahue spent nine seasons as the head man at Penn and led the Quakers to an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2018 before being hired as associate head coach at Saint Joe's under Billy Lange in May of 2025.

The NCAA is investigating potential violations of sports betting rules involving 13 former men’s basketball players who competed for six schools. Cases include athletes formerly associated with Eastern Michigan, Temple, Arizona State, New Orleans, North Carolina A&T and Mississippi Valley. The schools are not under investigation or at risk of being penalized.

Saint Joseph’s basketball has promoted Steve Donahue to head coach after Billy Lange decided to take a front office job with the New York Knicks. Donahue joined the program in May as an associate coach after nine seasons as coach at Penn. He was Ivy League Coach of the Year in 2017-2018, when he led the Quakers to the NCAA Tournament.
