Jaden Akins scored 14 points and No. 16 Michigan State extended its winning streak to nine games with a 78-68 win over Northwestern on Sunday.

Cord Stansberry's 17 points helped Western Carolina defeat Mercer 85-82 on Sunday night. Stansberry shot 5 for 9 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 4 of 5 from the free-throw line for the Catamounts (5-10, 1-3 Southern Conference). Chevalier Emery scored 16 points, shooting 5 for 9, including 4 for 8 from beyond the arc.

Nate Bittle had 11 points while TJ Bamba and Kwame Evans Jr. added 10 apiece for the Ducks (15-2, 4-2 Big Ten), who trailed for most of the second half before regaining the lead in the final minute. The game was tied at 78 with just over a minute to go before Shelstad hit a midrange jumper that put Oregon up two with 47 seconds left. Kern tried a layup the other way, but the shot was off.

Yarden Garzon scored 21 points on 7-of-8 shooting, Chloe Moore-McNeil added 18 points and the Indiana women beat No. 23 Iowa 74-67.

Javon Small scored 26 points and Joseph Yesufu added 18 as No. 21 West Virginia held off Colorado 78-70 on Sunday in the teams' first meeting as members of the Big 12 Conference. The Mountaineers (12-3, 3-1 Big 12) overcame foul trouble and used a late 13-4 run to thwart Colorado, which had cut the deficit to two points with 5:28 left. Julian Hammond III had 23 points and Assane Diop added 13 for Colorado (9-6, 0-4), which lost its fourth straight game.

Jackson Shelstad scored 17 points, Keeshawn Barthelemy added 15, Jadrian Tracey had 13 and No. 15 Oregon held on to beat Penn State 82-81 on Sunday. As the injuries piled up for West Virginia over the last month, the Mountaineer offense has run through Javon Small. Small entered Sunday against Colorado as the Big 12’s leading scorer, but the more important thing for the Mountaineers was finding ways to get production from other places than Small. West Virginia’s offense would find that second gear in the first half before Small was able to take over early in the second half.

Dola Adebayo had 15 points in Mount St. Mary's 73-71 victory over Sacred Heart on Sunday. Adebayo added seven rebounds for the Mountaineers (11-5, 4-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Carmelo Pacheco scored 14 points, shooting 4 for 8 from beyond the arc.

Vladislav Goldin had 19 points and Nimari Burnett scored 16 to lead No. 24 Michigan over Washington 91-75 on Sunday. It was the Wolverines’ (13-3, 5-0 Big Ten) fifth straight victory. Roddy Gayle Jr. had 15 points in his return to the lineup after missing a game because of a bruised knee he suffered against USC.

Five different Wolverines finished in double figures Sunday vs. Washington as U-M picked up its fifth consecutive win to stay unbeaten in the Big Ten.

Frank Champion scored 13 points, going 5 for 7 from the floor. Bash Wieland scored 11 on 5-for-7 shooting. Augustinas Kiudulas led the way for the Keydets (6-11, 0-4) with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Backup guard Oluchi Okananwa scored 17 points, Taina Mair hit two big 3-pointers, and No. Duke rallied in the second half to defeat Virginia 60-55 on Sunday. Okananwa hit a 3-pointer to open the fourth quarter and followed with a mid-range jumper to give Duke its first lead of the game, 44-43 with nine minutes remaining.

The Spartans (14-2, 5-0 Big Ten) closed the first half on a 33-12 run and led 47-28 at intermission after all 10 players chipped in at least a field goal. Jase Richardson scored 13 points and Jeremy Fears Jr. had 12 points and eight assists for the Spartans, whose six dunks in the first half drew plenty of roars from visiting fans who seemed to make up half of the sellout crowd.
