Colby Duggan's 27 points helped Campbell defeat Stony Brook 79-54 on Thursday night. Duggan went 11 of 14 from the field (5 for 7 from 3-point range) for the Fighting Camels (9-11, 4-3 Coastal Athletic Association). Caleb Zurliene scored 13 points while going 6 of 9 from the field and added three steals.

PJ Haggerty scored 22 points and Tyrese Hunter added 16 as No. 24 Memphis used a late rally to beat Wichita State 61-53 on Thursday night. Memphis (15-4, 5-1 American Athletic Conference) broke open the tight game by scoring 12 straight points in the final five minutes. Harlond Beverly led the Shockers (11-8, 1-5) with 18 points.

Lauren Betts had 25 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks to help No. 1 UCLA beat Rutgers 84-66 on Thursday night. The 6-foot-7 Betts now has 21 blocks over her last three games for UCLA (19-0, 7-0 Big Ten). This was the first time Rutgers faced the No. 1 team in the country since 2014, when the Scarlet Knights played UConn twice in the American Athletic Conference.

Zoe Brooks had 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Madison Hayes added 18 points and nine boards, and No. 20 NC State closed on an 11-0 run to beat Syracuse 74-66 on Thursday night. Brooks made a jumper from the free-throw line with 3:18 left in the fourth quarter to give NC State its first lead, 63-62, since it was 4-2. Aziaha James added a runner in the lane with 59.2 seconds left for a 69-66 lead.

Tylan Pope scored 25 points as Texas State beat Louisiana 89-74 on Thursday night. Pope added five rebounds and three blocks for the Bobcats (12-8, 5-3 Sun Belt Conference). Josh O'Garro added 17 points while shooting 4 for 7 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) and 8 of 10 from the free-throw line while he also had nine rebounds.

Eren Banks had 18 points in Georgia Southern's 85-58 win over Coastal Carolina on Thursday. Banks added eight rebounds for the Eagles (11-9, 4-4 Sun Belt Conference). Avantae Parker added 13 points while shooting 4 of 7 from the field and 4 for 4 from the line while they also had six rebounds.

After the USC men's basketball team finished off its latest impressive road win in conference play Wednesday night at Nebraska, coach Eric Musselman lamented how his Trojans' postseason hopes might look right now if they'd played the same way at home. It's a fair what-if, but it also needs to be said that this team is probably outperforming many expectations overall in Musselman's first season. The Trojans were picked 14th out of 18 teams in the Big Ten preseason poll, and many might have thought that was even optimistic after watching this team struggled to squeak by the likes of Idaho State and UT Arlington early followed by losses to Cal, an evisceration at the hands of St. Mary's (a 71-36 loss), New Mexico and Oregon.

The Razorbacks were effective in two areas they haven't been since SEC play started in their win over Georgia.

With the Razorbacks shorthanded in the absence of freshman guard Boogie Fland, Arkansas forward Adou Thiero put his cape on for late-game heroics in the 68-65 win over Georgia on Wednesday at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville. Thiero in transition was the only offense going early on for the Razorbacks, who took a 7-6 lead with 14:16 left in the first half and then didn't lead again until there were less than five minutes left in regulation. With just 30 seconds remaining on the clock, Theiro drove to the middle of the lane, absorbed contact and put up a jumper that went through the net to give Arkansas a 65-63 lead.

In his second season on the job, Rick Pitino is at it again. This time, the Hall of Fame coach has St. John’s evoking the glory days in Queens decades ago.

Kansas big man Hunter Dickinson grabbed an offensive rebound and had the ball cradled into his body with both arms, with no intention of letting TCU take it away from him.

Wofford Terriers (11-5, 3-0 SoCon) at Mercer Bears (6-12, 1-2 SoCon) Macon, Georgia; Thursday, 7 p.m. EST BOTTOM LINE: Wofford visits Mercer after Helen Matthews scored 24 points in Wofford's 66-53 win against the Western Carolina Catamounts. The Bears have gone 4-5 at home.
