Isaiah Johnson's 14 points helped Portland State defeat Cal State Bakersfield 59-58 on Saturday night. Johnson added six rebounds for the Vikings (7-5). Jaylin Henderson scored 12 points, going 3 of 8 from the floor, including 0 for 3 from 3-point range, and 6 for 8 from the free-throw line.

Nick Boyd shook off a rough shooting first half to score all 17 of his points after halftime and No. 23 San Diego State beat California 71-50 on Saturday night. BJ Davis and Miles Byrd each added 12 points for San Diego State. Jeremiah Wilkinson scored 13 points and Andrej Stojakovic added 10 for the Golden Bears (7-5).

Otis Frazier III scored 15 points as UTEP beat Yale 75-74 on Saturday night to win the Don Haskins Basketball Invitational. Frazier added five rebounds for the Miners (9-3). Devon Barnes scored 12 points while shooting 4 for 8, including 4 for 7 from beyond the arc.

Tyler McGhie scored 27 points as UC San Diego beat San Diego 77-71 on Saturday night. McGhie went 9 of 20 from the field (7 for 10 from 3-point range) for the Tritons (11-2). Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones scored 17 points while shooting 5 of 8 from the field and 7 for 7 from the free-throw line and added six assists.

Carter Welling had 22 points in Utah Valley's 64-62 win against Weber State on Saturday night. Welling also had six rebounds and five blocks for the Wolverines (7-6). Jackson Holcombe scored 13 points while shooting 6 of 10 from the field and 1 for 3 from the free-throw line and added eight rebounds.

Graham Ike had 25 points and 10 rebounds, and No. 13 Gonzaga moved past an early cold spell to beat Bucknell 86-65 on Saturday night. Ben Gregg scored 15 points and Nolan Hickman added 14 for the Bulldogs (9-3), who improved to 6-0 at home. From there, the Zags ran out to a 38-27 halftime lead and stretched their lead to 20 points with a 9-0 run to open the second half.

Keyshawn Hall scored 21 points, Jordan Ivy-Curry added 19 points, including five 3-pointers, and UCF never trailed Saturday as the Knights beat Jacksonville 86-66 in the last nonconference game of the season. Hall made 5 of 7 from the field and 10 of 11 from the free-throw line. Darius Johnson scored 12 points with six rebounds and five steals for UCF (9-2) and Moustapha Thiam scored 10.

Jackson Shelstad added 10 points as Oregon had nine players score at least five points.

Shammah Scott scored 12 points off of the bench, Isaiah Gray added a double-double and Akron beat winless Jackson State 68-50 on Saturday night in the consolation final of the Don Haskins Basketball Invitational. Scott added six rebounds for the Zips (7-4). Gray finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Sam Sherry scored 28 points to lead Elon and secured the victory with a hook shot with 29 seconds remaining as the Phoenix knocked off UNC Greensboro 73-69 on Saturday night. Sherry added 14 rebounds for the Phoenix (8-4). TJ Simpkins scored 14 points and added five rebounds and three steals.

Dusan Neskovic's 23 points helped Richmond defeat VMI 78-71 on Saturday night. Neskovic also contributed six rebounds for the Spiders (5-7). Delonnie Hunt shot 2 of 3 from the field and 11 for 12 from the line to add 16 points.

Javonte Brown scored 21 and Sebastian Thomas sealed the victory with a 3-pointer with 21 seconds left as Rhode Island knocked off Temple 85-79 on Saturday night at the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. Brown added 10 rebounds for the Rams (11-1). Thomas scored 20 points while going 4 of 7 from the floor, including 3 for 6 from 3-point range, and 9 for 9 from the line and added 10 assists.

Xavier Bell scored a season-high 24 points and Wichita State pulled away in the second half to beat Kansas State 84-65 on Saturday night. Bell made 9 of 17 shots from the floor including his only 3-point attempt and 3 of 4 free throws for the Shockers (9-3), who snapped a five-game losing streak to the Wildcats (6-5). Corey Washington and Quincy Ballard both posted their second double-double of the season for Wichita State.

Bruce Thornton scored 22 of his career-high 30 points in the second half and Ohio State cruised to an 85-65 victory over No. 4 Kentucky on Saturday in the CBS Classic at Madison Square Garden.
