Calipari has heart-to-heart with Razorbacks after another close loss to top-10 opponent

Arkansas coach John Calipari sat down with his team after its loss to No. 8 Texas A&M Saturday for a “heart-to-heart.” The Hall of Fame coach wanted the Razorbacks to understand that they let a major opportunity slip away with the defeat. Calipari, who has taken six teams to the Final Four, knows that his Razorbacks will need a signature win to even reach the tournament in his first season at the school.

Jaden Daughtry scored 14 points while going 5 of 8 and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line and added five rebounds.

Leggett, Corhen power Pitt in 74-65 victory over Miami

Ishmael Leggett had 21 points and 10 rebounds, Cameron Corhen scored 17 and Pittsburgh defeated Miami 74-65 on Saturday to snap a four-game losing streak. Zack Austin also had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers (15-10, 6-8 ACC). Amsal Delalic scored 14 points and Brandin Cummings had 11.

Xavier knocks off DePaul 85-68

Zach Freemantle scored 19 points as Xavier beat DePaul 85-68 on Saturday. Freemantle also contributed nine rebounds for the Musketeers (16-10, 8-7 Big East Conference). Dailyn Swain scored 17 points and added seven rebounds and eight assists.
