Mark Sears scored 18 points and Grant Nelson added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Alabama, which rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half, but failed to complete the comeback. Denver Jones scored 16 points, Chad Baker-Mazara and Miles Kelly added 15 points apiece, Chaney Johnson had 14 and Tahaad Pettiford 13 for Auburn (23-2, 11-1 Southeastern Conference). Labaron Philon and Aden Holloway each scored 10 for Alabama (21-4, 10-2).

Jaxson Kohler had 23 points and 10 rebounds, Tre Holloman scored 14 points and No. 11 Michigan State rallied to beat Illinois 79-65 on Saturday night giving the Spartans' Tom Izzo the most conference wins in Big Ten history. Jase Richardson contributed 11 points and Coen Carr had 10 for the Spartans (20-5, 11-3 Big Ten), who outscored Illinois 42-24 in the second half.

Freshman Tre Johnson scored 32 points, and senior Tramon Mark had 26, season bests for both, and Texas defeated No. Kentucky 82-78 on Saturday night, snapping a three-game losing streak. Texas (16-10, 5-8 Southeastern Conference) trailed 69-64 with less than four minutes remaining before making a 14-1 push.

Jackson Fields had 20 points in Troy's 71-70 win against Arkansas State on Saturday night. Fields added eight rebounds and three steals for the Trojans (17-9, 10-4 Sun Belt Conference). Tayton Conerway scored 13 points, shooting 5 for 13, including 1 for 6 from beyond the arc.

Essam Mostafa scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as Middle Tennessee beat Western Kentucky 87-77 on Saturday night. Camryn Weston added 20 points and seven assissts for the Blue Raiders (17-8, 8-4 Conference USA). Jlynn Counter had 20 points and shot 8 for 17, including 4 for 10 from beyond the arc.

Freshman Jace Posey came off the bench to score a season-high 20 points and Noah Reynolds hit a go-ahead 3-pointer late and scored 19 to help TCU hold on for a 74-70 victory over Arizona State on Saturday night, handing the Sun Devils their fifth straight loss. BJ Freeman had two 3-pointers and a layup in a 14-4 run as Arizona State pulled even at 67 with 43 seconds remaining. Reynolds answered with a 3-pointer with 18 seconds left and Vasean Allette made 4 of 4 free throws in the final 11 seconds to preserve the victory.

Denzel Aberdeen scored 22 points, Thomas Haugh added 20 — career highs for both players — and No. 3 Florida beat South Carolina 88-67 Saturday night despite playing without two frontcourt players. The Gators (22-3, 9-3 Southeastern Conference) led by four at halftime and started the second half with a 12-1 run to open up a comfortable lead. The Gamecocks (10-15, 0-12) never recovered.

Mostapha El Moutaouakkil scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Louisiana-Lafayette beat Marshall 79-68 on Saturday night. Christian Wright scored 20 points for the Ragin' Cajuns (9-18, 6-8 Sun Belt Conference). Kentrell Garnett had 11 points.

Jabe Mullins' 17 points helped Montana State defeat Idaho State 74-69 on Saturday night. Mullins shot 6 for 11, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc for the Bobcats (12-15, 7-7 Big Sky Conference). Brandon Walker shot 4 of 7 from the field and 7 of 8 from the free-throw line to add 15 points.

Tom Izzo is now the Big Ten's all-time winningest coach.

Nick Townsend scored 20 points as Yale beat Princeton 84-57 on Saturday night. Townsend added seven rebounds for the Bulldogs (16-6, 9-0 Ivy League). Bez Mbeng scored 17 points while shooting 7 for 8, including 3 for 4 from beyond the arc.

Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo became the winningest coach in conference play with his 354th win over a Big Ten opponent on Saturday night.

Lorenzo Downey had 17 points in Alabama A&M's 82-70 victory against Mississippi Valley State on Saturday night. Downey shot 5 for 6 (4 for 5 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line for the Bulldogs (8-17, 4-8 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Anthony Bryant added 16 points while going 4 of 10 from the floor, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and 6 for 9 from the foul line while they also had six rebounds.
