UConn, Arizona and Duke also got No. 1 votes from the 61-member media panel in a poll that also saw No. 6 Louisville and No. 8 Illinois jump into the top 10.

Houston held on in the final seconds against Auburn on Sunday afternoon, and lost its spot atop the poll as a result.

Alex Condon scored 19 points, Thomas Haugh added 17 and No. 10 Florida held on to beat rival Miami 82-68 on Sunday night. Condon and fellow big man Rueben Chinyelu fouled out with more than five minutes to play, but the Gators (3-1) had enough cushion to close it out with the two starters on the bench. It didn't help that backup center Micah Handlogten took a shot to the head in the first half and did not return.

The Tigers had a good look at the buzzer, but couldn't get a game-winner from KeShawn Murphy to fall.

BYU guard Kennard Davis Jr. has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules after he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Davis was held out of the seventh-ranked Cougars’ 86-84 loss to No. 3 UConn on Saturday night, two days after he was involved in a car crash in Utah. After the game, coach Kevin Young announced Davis was suspended.

Bryce Hopkins and Joson Sanon scored 15 points apiece, and No. 13 St. John’s pulled away early in the second half for a 93-60 victory over William & Mary on Saturday night.

Freshman Kiyan Anthony scored 18 points, Donnie Freeman and Naithan George each added 13 points, and Syracuse went on the road for the first time this season to earn an 80-50 victory over Drexel on Saturday.

David Coit scored 19 points and reserve Isaiah Watts scored 18 points and Maryland beat Marquette 89-82 on Saturday.

KJ Lewis scored 17 of his 26 points in the second half, Malik Mack had 16 points and seven assists, and Georgetown beat Clemson 79-74 on Saturday.

Flory Bidunga scored a career-high 25 points, hitting 10 oi his 11 field goal attempts, as No. 25 Kansas beat Princeton 76-57 on Saturday. Kansas (3-1) used a 17-3 run midway through the second half to blow open a close game. Tre White added 18 points for the Jayhawks.
