West Virginia steps up late to get pivotal road win over Utah on Tuesday
Tuesday night was an important opportunity for the Mountaineers — one they took full advantage of. West Virginia had their last Quad 1 opportunity of the regular season against Utah, and they helped get one step closer to solidifying themselves in the NCAA Tournament picture with a 71-69 win over the Utes. West Virginia led for the final 3:42 of the game but did everything they could to try and lose the game in the closing seconds.
Tramon Mark scores 24 points and Texas downs No. 25 Mississippi State
Tramon Mark had 24 points and Tre Johnson scored 23 to lead Texas to an 87-82 overtime win over No. 25 Mississippi State on Tuesday night. Mark and Arthur Kaluma both hit two free throws in the final 21 seconds of overtime to secure the win. Mark and Johnson were a combined 10 of 15 from 3-point range for the Longhorns (17-13, 6-11 Southeastern Conference).

Jayden Epps led Georgetown with 20 points, including the game-winning layup with five seconds remaining, and the Hoyas took down Villanova 75-73 on Tuesday. Epps shot 6 for 12 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 5 of 5 from the free-throw line for the Hoyas (17-13, 8-11 Big East Conference). Micah Peavy scored 19 points and added five rebounds.

Norchad Omier scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, VJ Edgecombe scored 18 points and Baylor held on to beat TCU 61-58 on Tuesday night. Robert Wright III added 11 points for Baylor. TCU's Noah Reynolds scored 13 of his 16 points in the first half and reserve Trazarien White scored 11 points.

Ven-Allen Lubin collected his first double-double as a Tar Heel and Ian Jackson hit five of North Carolina's season-high 15 3-pointers while scoring 19 points in a 91-59 victory over Virginia Tech on Tuesday night. The Tar Heels (20-11, 13-6 ACC) extended their season-high win streak to six as they prepare to end the regular season at home against No. 2 Duke on Saturday. Seth Trimble scored 17 points, RJ Davis 15 and Drake Powell 13.
Terry with career-best 31, Georgia Tech beats Miami 89-74 to clinch first-round bye into ACC tourney
Lance Terry made six 3-pointers and scored a career-high 31 points to help Georgia Tech cruise to an 89-74 victory over Miami on Tuesday night. Georgia Tech (16-14, 10-9 ACC), which has won seven of its last nine games and six straight at home, clinched at least a No. 8 seed and a first-round bye into the conference tournament. It’s also the first time since the 2016-17 season the Yellow Jackets have won 14 games.

South Carolina got within 49-47 with 9:24 left in the second half after Nick Pringle completed a three-point play, but the Gamecocks did not make another field goal until the 2:50 mark.
