Arizona is still No. 1 in The Associated Press men’s college basketball poll, but No. 2 Michigan is closing the gap.

Duke was the only team inside the top 10 to drop a game last week.

Michigan remains No.1 and Duke tumbles in the latest USA TODAY Sports men's college basketball coaches poll ahead of Christmas.

Milan Momcilovic made seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points and No. 4 Iowa State routed Long Beach State 91-60 on Sunday night to improve to 12-0. Momcilovic, who entered the game leading the Big 12 in 3-point shooting accuracy at 52.6%, made his first six shots from beyond the arc for his best start since he was 7 of 7 against Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 3. Iowa State held Long Beach State (3-10) to six points in the opening 10 minutes and led 45-9 with 5 1/2 minutes left in the first half.

Hadnot made 10 of 16 shots with four 3-pointers and 5 of 6 free throws for the Mastodons (8-6), who entered the game 0-6 on the road and 0-7 all-time versus the Fighting Irish (9-4).

Tyler Nickel hit eight 3-pointers on his way to 26 points and No. 13 Vanderbilt continued its surprise season as one of a handful of schools in the country that are still undefeated with a 98-67 win over Wake Forest on Sunday.

Kenzie Hare hit the game-winning 3-point shot as time expired, Audi Crooks scored 41 points and No. 10 Iowa State beat Kansas 79-76.

Michigan basketball score: The Wolverines dominated La Salle, 102-50, on Sunday, Dec. 21. at Crisler Center, its eighth win by at least 25 points.
