Thunder vet Nick Collison signs 1-year deal, leaves the door open for another season

Nick Collison finalized a 1-year deal on Friday. Could there be another one coming?

Collison, 36, told The Oklahoman that his future is still up in the after this season, which will be his 15th in the NBA.

“I don’t know for sure,” Collison said when asked if 2017-18 is his final season.

Thunder agrees to deal with French center Yannis Morin

The Thunder has agreed to a contract with French center Yannis Morin, The Oklahoman confirmed Friday.

The 23-year-old Morin (6-foot-11, 210 pounds), played on the Thunder’s summer league team in Orlan do, averaging 2.2 points and 4.0 rebounds in five games.

Report: Thunder to sign Dakari Johnson

After two years in the organization, Dakari Johnson appears to be getting his chance with the Thunder.

Johnson, the 7-foot center who’s spent the past two seasons with the Oklahoma City Blue in the NBA Development League, will sign a guaranteed two-year contract with the Thunder, The Vertical reported on Thursday night.

Johnson, 21, was a first-team All-NBA Development League selection this season after averaging 18.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for the Blue.

Russell Westbrook bobblehead includes triple-double counter

The Basketball Hall of Fame will have to wait, but the Bobblehead Hall of Fame is saluting Russell Westbrook and his historic 2016-17 season now.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled two Westbrook statuettes on Thursday morning, including one that will let fans track Westbrook’s career triple-doubles.

The other Westbrook bobblehead shows the Thunder guard in passing, shooting and rebounding poses in each of OKC’s three uniforms from last season.

The bobbleheads are available for pre-order now at the links above.

Troy Weaver content as Thunder assistant general manager

When he was 10 years old, Troy Weaver wanted to be an NFL quarterback.

He would fall in love with basketball soon enough, but back then the Thunder’s vice president and assistant general manager dreamed not of calling shots in an NBA front office, but plays on Sundays under center.

“Growing up, there weren’t many black quarterbacks, but I played it,” Weaver said.
