NBA Releases Full Christmas, Opening Week Schedule For 2018-19 Season

The NBA’s 73rd season will begin play on October 16 with a matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics, as the league announced a limited national television schedule on Wednesday. The full NBA schedule will be announced on Friday. Some of the season’s most intriguing matchups are a direct result of the movement of the offseason, which saw LeBron James head out west to join the Los Angeles Lakers and All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins being added to an already stacked Warriors lineup.

Grizzlies unveil new uniforms with FedEx as jersey sponsor

Everything from logos to color schemes to the way their court at FedExForum will have a new look this season , part of the team’s most significant reimaging since 2004. All that and the Grizzlies also added FedEx to the jersey as the team’s corporate sponsor. The unveiling ceremonies Thursday night at FedExForum for the media and key fans even included a FedEx courier delivering packages containing the new jerseys.

Offseason rehab has Grizzlies’ Conley hopeful for camp

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley says he “should be ready to go by training camp” after having this offseason to recover from heel and Achilles injuries suffered last season, according to a report by ESPN late Friday. NBA notebook: Leonard reportedly to attend Team USA camp

A week after being traded from the San Antonio Spurs to the Toronto Raptors, Kawhi Leonard is expected to attend the U.S. national basketball team’s camp in Las Vegas this week, according to a TSN report. The camp, which takes place Wednesday through Friday, will be run by Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and is expected to also include guards DeMar DeRozan — who was traded to San Antonio in the package for Leonard — and Kyle Lowry, Leonard’s new teammate on the Raptors. Per the TSN report, it is “up in the air” whether Leonard — who missed all but nine games last season while battling a nagging quad injury — will participate in practices, if at all.
